Dreams & Adventures

Seven years. Two promotions. Where I learned to build teams.

01 · Situation

From the crew to the owner's right hand.

I started at the bottom. Dreams & Adventures, a corporate team-building company founded in 1994, called me to set up stages and build event tents in Madrid: whatever it took to get an event ready. I kept taking on more of the business until, a couple of years in, I moved to Barcelona to work directly with the owner and run logistics. Then sales. Then accounting. By the end I had a hand in almost everything the company did.

Promoted twice in seven years; as Senior Project Manager I reported to the CEO and led teams of up to 40 with budget, safety and insurance responsibility. I learned how to run a company at his side, and I remain grateful for it.

It is also where I started designing programmes around real team dynamics, so managers came back knowing how their people actually worked together. Creativity applied to someone else's operations, which became a habit.
